Privacy Policy
OmniPsyche ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through this Privacy Policy. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit omnipsyche.org (the "Site"), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described below.
This Site is educational and informational in nature. It does not provide clinical counseling services and does not create a counselor-client or therapist-patient relationship. If and when the Site begins to offer clinical services or scheduling, this policy will be updated to reflect those changes.
01Information We Collect
We collect information in two ways: information you provide to us directly, and information gathered automatically as you browse.
Information you provide directly.
When you subscribe to our newsletter or ask us to email your attachment style quiz results, we collect:
- Your email address, which you provide so we can send your quiz results and related educational emails. An email address is the only personal detail our sign-up forms ask for.
- Your attachment style result, but only when you take the attachment style quiz and choose to have your result emailed to you. The quiz questions are answered and scored entirely in your browser. Only the final result, meaning the style name, is sent to us together with your email, and only if you opt in. We do not receive your individual question-by-question answers.
You provide this information voluntarily. The quiz is an educational tool, not a clinical assessment, diagnosis, or therapy. Your answers are self-reported reflections about relationship patterns and are not a medical or mental health record.
Information that stays on your device.
Our on-device tools, including the therapy homework worksheets and the NOTICE grounding exercises, save your answers and progress only in your own browser's local storage. That content stays on your device, is never uploaded to us, and we cannot see it. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Information collected automatically.
As you browse the Site, our analytics services may collect:
- Usage data: pages you view, time spent on those pages, the referring website, the exit website, and actions you take on the Site.
- Device and connection data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device type, screen resolution, language preferences, and approximate geographic location (usually city or region, derived from IP).
- Embedded content data: when a page contains embedded YouTube videos, YouTube and Google may collect data about your interaction with that content according to their own privacy practices.
This automatic collection happens only through the services described in Sections 3 and 4. Google Analytics runs only if you accept it on our consent banner. Our Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookieless and reports aggregate traffic without identifying you or tracking you across sites. We also keep our own first-party counters on our server that tally aggregate totals only, such as how many times a page is viewed, a quiz is opened, or a file is downloaded, and how often the NOTICE app is installed and opened. These counters set no cookies, store no personal information or IP addresses, and cannot identify you or follow you across sites.
We do not ask for and do not knowingly collect government identifiers, financial account numbers, or clinical health records through this Site.
02How We Use the Information
We use the information above to:
- Deliver your attachment style quiz results to you.
- Send you educational emails, including a welcome series and occasional updates, when you have opted in by completing the quiz or signing up. You can unsubscribe at any time (see Section 6).
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Site.
- Understand which content is most useful to visitors.
- Analyze general traffic and usage patterns.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or technical issues.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
03Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The Site uses only a small number of cookies and similar technologies. These include:
- Google Analytics cookies, which are set only if you click "Accept" on our consent banner. If you click "Decline," or simply ignore the banner, Google Analytics does not load and no Google Analytics cookies are placed. You can change your mind later by clearing this Site's stored data in your browser.
- Embedded media cookies set by YouTube when you play a video on a page.
- Local storage, which is not a cookie: we use your browser's local storage to remember your analytics choice and your light or dark theme, and to keep your therapy homework and NOTICE progress on your device. None of this is sent to us.
Our Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies and does not track you across sites (see Section 4). We do not use Meta (Facebook) Pixel, Google Ads conversion tags, or other advertising or remarketing trackers on the Site. You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not function properly without them.
04Third-Party Services
The Site relies on the following third-party services that may collect or process information about you:
- Namecheap, Inc. provides web hosting for the Site. See Namecheap's Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare, Inc. provides Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless, privacy-respecting measurement tool that reports aggregate traffic without tracking individuals across sites. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
- Google LLC provides Google Analytics, which loads only after you accept it on our consent banner. See Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics through the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.
- MailerLite stores our email list and delivers our newsletter and quiz-result emails when you subscribe. See MailerLite's Privacy Policy.
- YouTube (Google LLC) serves embedded videos. See Google's Privacy Policy.
We do not use Meta (Facebook), Google Ads, or other advertising or remarketing services on the Site. These third parties operate under their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.
05Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it in the following limited circumstances:
- With service providers who help us operate the Site (for example, our hosting provider, Google, and MailerLite, which stores our email list and delivers our emails) under their own privacy terms.
- To comply with applicable laws, legal processes, or governmental requests.
- To protect our rights, the safety of users, or the integrity of the Site.
- In connection with a merger, sale, or other business transaction, where the recipient will be required to honor this policy.
06Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information.
Email and marketing choices (all visitors).
Every educational or marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can opt out at any time, and you can also contact us at the email in Section 12 to be removed from our list or to request deletion of the information you submitted through the quiz.
For visitors in the European Union, United Kingdom, and similar jurisdictions (GDPR-style rights).
You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you; to restrict or object to certain processing; to request data portability; to withdraw consent for processing based on consent; and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
For California residents (CCPA / CPRA).
You have the right to know what categories of personal information we collect and how it is used; to request deletion of personal information; to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell personal information); and to be free from discrimination for exercising your rights.
For all visitors.
You can manage cookies through your browser, opt out of Google Analytics through the link above, and contact us at the email in Section 12 to exercise any of the rights described in this section.
07Children's Privacy
This Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The quiz and email sign-up are intended for adults. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
08International Data Transfers
The Site is operated from the United States. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., be aware that information collected through the Site may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or in other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Site, you consent to this transfer.
09Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We keep the email address and quiz information you submit for as long as you remain subscribed, and we delete it after you unsubscribe or request deletion, subject to any legal retention requirements. Analytics data is retained according to the retention settings of our analytics providers (typically 14 to 26 months for Google Analytics).
10Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect the information collected through the Site. However, no online transmission is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify visitors more prominently. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
